Tuition fee
Three cost categories must be taken into account and agreed upon in advance. Each company can define its own framework:
- Costs for coursework: depending on funding by the federal state and company agreement with students. Costs range from approximately $8,000 to $22,000 per year.
- Costs for compensation: since students work up to 30 weeks per year, compensation is recommended but not required. In Germany, students get around $18,000 per year.
- Costs for travel, housing: it’s the company’s decision whether support is available.

Compensation may be paid by the partner company, but it requires individual agreements.
University entrance requirements
To participate in the program, you’ll need to meet specific academic criteria to ensure you’re ready for both the academic and practical challenges:
- High school diploma combined with an associate degree.
- High school diploma and have passed Advanced Placement (AP*) exams.
- High school diploma and have successfully completed 2 years of study at an accredited college or university.
- Graduation from a German school (Abitur).
Furthermore, make sure to obtain and submit proof of health insurance

Tuition fee
$ 22,000 per year / $ 66,000 in total, excluding accommodation (housing, dining, parking, travel, etc.) paid by the company during the standard period of study. This fee includes all study courses in the US and Germany.
Non-financial support for resolving housing, dining, parking provided by Universities.

German American Co-op: Information
In the German American Co-op study program in International Engineering & Management at NORDAKADEMIE, you will initially acquire a broad foundational knowledge encompassing all functional departments of a company.
From the fifth to the sixth semester, you will delve deeper into key topics in engineering, economics, and technology management. The curriculum includes mandatory courses in mechanical engineering, production and quality management, logistics and process management, capital goods marketing, as well as controlling and investment.
In addition to providing all necessary knowledge in information technology, the curriculum places a strong emphasis on integration.
Upon completion of your bachelor's degree, you will be equipped to prepare and effectively execute business decisions across all functional areas based on scientific methods. The program focuses on the intersections between technical and business responsibilities. Thanks to the dual system, the content of your studies closely aligns with the requirements of your partner company.
